當談起香港人,我們想到的是誰?除了一個個抗爭意識所建立的身分,還有什麼方法,可以超越邊界,看見、聽見,好好地認識自己以外的人?

王基信與梁以瑚多年來經營慈善社群藝術機構「全人藝動」,近年的水上人、客家、圍頭藝術計劃,採集及二創老人家的歌聲,推廣凋零中的香港文化;史嘉茵是非牟利藝術機構「空城計劃」創辦成員之一,策劃《香村》大碟,讓樂手與村民合作,以多元音樂珍惜香港村落的故事,再帶到世界;孔繁強Billy是香港噪音合作社及迷你噪音創辦人,除了創作和演出,不斷走訪大小工人團體,做長期而深入的培訓,教育出中港無數工人樂隊。

⏯Samson Wong

Samson Kei Shun Wong is a practitioner, researcher and educator of artist engagement in communities. Samson's community/socially-engaged practice integrates his experience in music, theatre and the visual arts, enabling him to bring together artists of different media in participatory projects in Hong Kong, China and India. He has been the manager and now chairperson of Hong Kong community arts organization Art for All. He studied Arts Management and Music History & Culture at the University of Toronto, and received his PhD at the Department of Visual Studies at Lingnan University. He has taught community arts theory and practice at various tertiary institutions. Since the summer of 2020, he has founded and is heading the Hong Kong Community Arts Archive Catalogue Initiative.

⏯Sze Ka Yan

Sze found “Fragrant Village” in 2016, a local non-profit music organisation aims to use music as a tool to connect communities and environment, pairing up different genres of musicians with communities to cultivate dynamic music events. Sze curated and published an album:Fragrant Village in 2016, a collaborative album created by independent Hong Kong musicians and inhabitants of people from three districts of the Northeastern New Territories to let communities to cherish the beauty of villages through music.

⏯Billy Hong 

Billy, founder of the Noise Cooperative which was established in 1998. In 2007, it was reorganized into "Mini Noise". The song clearly focused on the grassroots and the disadvantaged. He has been cooperating with Hong Kong and Chinese labor organizations for many years, providing them with music training and workshops, allowing them to create their own songs, and even set up their own orchestra.

▶️Eric Ng

Eric Ng believes in Arts Empowerment. With over 12 years of immersing both in international exchanges and community projects - from conceptualising to executing projects, conferences, workshops and performances with a wide range of artists - he understands especially the profound importance of dialogues, adapting and consolidating concepts and ideas from global artists, while taking care of the localisation of the practices.

Music Children Foundation, Centre for Community Cultural Development

音樂直接感性的力量大如流水,能載舟亦能覆舟。只有全面而普及的教育,培養積極的創造者、評論者、演出者,才能避免落入只能被迫消費單一主旋律的境地。

音樂兒童基金會免費為清貧兒童提供專業音樂及器樂教育,服務超過4000個家庭,不為考試,不為發掘天才,而是讓兒童在音樂裡找到自己的價值;社區文化發展中心推廣參與式社群音樂,從生活取材,讓任何背景的民眾皆可集體創作,為自己社區、社群、工作寫出自己的旋律,自己的歌詞,講自己的故事。

【人人皆可作樂】由社群音樂策劃及導師吳文基主持,與音樂兒童基金會音樂總監梁國章Jacky及社區文化發展中心項目經理呂家祺David,以工作坊及對談展示音樂普及的核心價值。

⏯Centre for Community Cultural Development

Centre for Community Cultural Development(CCCD) was founded in the 2004, its goal and mission are to promote and practice community cultural development, i.e. cultural activities that empower the underprivileged in particular persons with disabilities, migrant workers and ethnic minorities and will uphold diversity in cultural development in the face of the onslaught of the homogenizing force of globalization. In November 2006, CCCD became a registered charity in Hong Kong and donations to CCCD become tax deductible. Besides, CCCD has strategically collaborated with Asian People's Theatre Festival Society which was established in the nineties to promote community cultural development.

 

⏯Music Children Foundation

Established in 2013, Music Children Foundation (MCF) aims to provide free-of-charge music programmes for underprivileged children aged 16 or below in Hong Kong. This allows for learning in an enjoyable environment to help them build their confidence, shape their characters, and help them express themselves through music. Led and instructed by professional musicians, the programmes provide comprehensive music education through the teaching of musical instruments, orchestra and choir training, music appreciation, and attending music and other arts performances to broaden their horizon
and enhance their appreciation abilities. Children are encouraged to develop their potential and talents in music on top of their academic studies.

⏯Damon Chan (F For : Hong Kong Protest Music Zine  )

A native Hong Konger, now lives in Oslo, Norway. He works as graphic designer during the day, and becomes a freelance journalist at night. He is involved in music, culture, and tourism, his articles are published in Ming Pao, Hong Kong Economic Journal and other media. He is the principal of the music platform 3C Music and the convener of the " F For : Hong Kong Protest Music Zine  " project. In the form of non-profit publishing, he aims to faithfully present the Hong Kong democracy movement from 2019 to 2020 through music.

⏯Wong Hin-yan

Hin-yan Wong is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter, social activist, composer for theatre and film. Perhaps most publicly visible as one of the young "post-80s" activists who helped initiate the satygrha walks, Hin-yan is also emerging as a singer-composer-performer in the local theatre scene.

 

⏯Luna Is A Bep

The post-90s rap singer in Hong Kong, majoring in Chinese at university, officially debuted in 2018 with her first work "Everybody's Sleepy". She uses humorous lyrics to tell the tiredness of Hong Kong people sleeping in cars.

 

⏯Kiki Ng

Kiki Ng is the co-artistic director of Encounter Playback Theatre, as well as the facilitator, artist and project coordinator of Free Association. She finished her bachelor’s and Mphil. degrees in Humanities Programme at Hong Kong Baptist University, and also a graduate of Centre for Playback Theatre (New York). She actively participates in theatre, community arts and education fields, and believes that story is one of the keys that brings changes in the World.

 

⏯Ho Pak Chuen

Ho Pak Chuen is a Community music facilitator and playback theater worker, president of the Internet Musicians Association, member of the Living Stories Hong Kong, and one of former art directors of the Big Tree Coummunity Arts Centre.

 

▶️Wong Chun Kok (Ah-kok)

Wong Chun Kok (Ah-kok) studied in the Leeds Metropolitan University, England, majoring in Music Technology. Wong is a composer, cultural critic, music tutor, Broadcasting DJ and an activist. He is also a member of the protest band Pusshitachi.
